Often referred to as the 'Black Chanterelle', Trompets are black in appearance. They have a strong, smokey, nutty flavour, strong aroma, delicate texture, and marry well with fish, rice, pasta and eggs.

Prices will vary depending on which variety but $150-$200 per kilo is a safe guide.
